Don Taylor has been in the business of finance for over 20 years and knows his stuff. Over the past ten years Don has been in the “train the advisor role” teaching finance and financial services courses at Penn State Brandywine and the American College. He was an editor for the first three editions of the textbook, Financial Planning: Process and Environment. Don takes a hands-on approach to advice by writing a daily personal finance advice column published on Bankrate.com, a web site dedicated to consumer financial issues.
Don has professional experience as a treasurer, financial consultant, and as a debt analyst. He holds a PhD, and is CFA charter holder, CFP®certificant, Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and a Chartered Adviser in Senior Living (CASL). His professional affiliations include being a member of the CFA Institute, The Academy of Financial Services, the Financial Planning Association, and the Financial Management Association. He is on the review board of The Journal of Financial Planning and the Journal of Financial Service Professionals.
